July kicked off with a long drive to Illinois. We departed our driveway around 5am and made it just in time for our 100+ person family reunion. Since I've only been a Meiss for a year, I was thrilled to meet more of the fam. All of the hugs, stories, trivia, and laughter made me love being a part of this family even more. We took a tour of the tiny town where Dad grew up and hopped back in the car to land us at our favorite destination -- the lake house! Where the water is warm, the drinks are cold, and the food is delicious!

This is Wesley, he's the oldest golden. He loves to swim, go fishing, and shake his butt on long walks in the neighborhood. Jaxxon - not pictured is the youngest golden who is still learning how to swim without sinking. He's a cute work in progress - who just celebrated his 1st birthday.
Mom & Dad have been married for 30 YEARS!!!
We had a blast celebrating by recreating their first date at 'Tequila Willies'. We're so blessed by their example of sharing with us what a Godly marriage looks like. (I hit the in-law's jackpot if I say so myself!) |
